Young ESPGHAN Afternoon Workshop: Decoding Research Systematic Reviews, Meta-Analysis, and Peer Review Essentials

Introduction:
In this workshop, attendees will be given the opportunity to learn everything there is to know in the world of research. From interpreting statistics and meta analysis by none other than Prof Morris-Gordon, to reviewing manuscripts with JPGN senior reviewers.
This workshop is ideal for trainees wishing for a hands-on approach to learning and will give successful candidates the possibility of becoming a Young Reviewer for JPGN. It is a great opportunity to network and to promote yourselves and become more active within ESPGHAN.
Targeted audience: Young ESPGHAN Members, Medical students, General paediatricians, GI trainees, AHPs with interest in research.
Objectives:
- Gain a basic understanding of statistics for non-statisticians
- Learn the fundamentals of systematic review and meta-analysis techniques
- Identify the importance of peer review in your daily practice and career progression
- A step by step guide on reviewing a manuscript from experienced reviewers with online and face to face modules
- Receive feedback and practical guidance from experts through hands-on practice
