Course Title: Hands-on Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Course Description:
This Hands-on AI Course is designed for anyone interested in learning how to use AI tools effectively in their daily work and research. Participants will explore tools such as Open Evidence, Perplexity, Connected Papers, SciSpace, Consensus, ResearchRabbit.
These tools are designed to streamline tasks like patient care, teaching, research, and presentation preparation. The course includes practical exercises and discussions to help participants:
- Create better prompts for AI tools.
- Evaluate and interpret AI-generated results.
- Combine different tools effectively for enhanced productivity.
- Understand and avoid common AI mistakes.
Pre-Course Preparation:
To help participants prepare for the in-person workshop, either an online session or preparatory materials will be sent by email one week in advance. This preparation will introduce the course, explain its goals and expectations, and provide an overview of the tools we’ll use. Participants will also receive instructions on setting up necessary accounts and completing tasks needed for the course. These steps are designed to ensure everyone feels prepared and confident for the workshop.
Requirements:
Each participant must bring their own laptop
Access to ChatGPT.
ChatGPT 4o (paid version- 20$/mo) – PREFERRED
